Philosophy

Maybe it has something to do with being a Jew by choice, but I’ve never believed that cooking kosher means accepting limits. Granted, I’m not going to make a giant shrimp bowl like they do back home in North Carolina. Beyond that, I believe in inventiveness, variety, beauty, fresh ingredients and that all-important but sometimes elusive ingredient: flavor!

As the sample menus show, this ain’t your Mama’s kosher cooking. (Just do us both a favor and never repeat that while she’s in the room, please?) Our staff’s areas of expertise include nutrition, baking and pastry, ethnic foods, and fine dining.

For those requiring the strictest kashrut certification, our separately incorporated subsidiary, Callaloo Catering, works under the supervision of the Vaad Hakashrus of Denver or TRI Sulom, Dov Heller Kosher Administrator.
